This class action lawsuit seeks to recover unpaid overtime wages for construction workers at the petrochemical facility (a.k.a. cracker plant) in Monaca, PA.  The lawsuit alleges that the workers were paid by BrandSafway Industries LLC, but supervised by Insulations, LLC.  The lawsuit claims that the companies violated Pennsylvania wage and overtime law by failing to pay for certain work activities performed before and after the paid shift.  These activities include, for example, time spent waiting for and riding in shuttle buses and time spent walking to and from the worker’s assigned location within the construction site.
